Be an Angel

The 2002 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Report stated there are 53% more active Angel investors per capita in the USA than in Canada. The National Angel Capital Organization (NACO), the industry association representing over 30 formal Angel groups (including SAINT) and 4,000 Angel investors throughout Canada, acknowledges this fact and is mandated to develop the Angel community in Canada. The NACO and its partner organization dedicate their efforts to increasing the effectiveness and activity of angel capital in Canada to:

  • commercialize Canada's leading-edge technologies
  • promote world-class excellence in our high-potential, emerging growth companies though mentorship, networks and financing
  • develop the international partnerships necessary to attract foreign direct investment into Canadian firms via co-investment.

In Saskatchewan, SAINT is committed to the NACO’s efforts and in addition, has undertaken an Advocacy Campaign to create awareness of angel investment activity, encourage the participation of both angel investors and entrepreneurs, thereby increase new business growth and generate ROI for individuals.
